WLTP-27-03e gear shift issues Status report about the work of theprogramming code development subgroup Heinz Steven 17.05.2019 1

Work done since IWG #26 All amendment proposals described in the status report of the GSTF were adopted at IWG #26 in Zagreb. Annex 2 with these amendments will be used as basis for the work of the programming code development subgroup. This subgroup started its work with a kick-off web-telco at 13.05.2019. The minutes of this web-telco build the basis of the status report for IWG #27. 2

Programming code development subgroup (PCD SG) The discussion about the programming language(s) led to the following result: JRC will take the responsibility to develop a Python code based on the latest version of annex 2 of GTR 15 as adopted by the IWG in Zagreb and as implemented in the latest version of the ACCESS tool of the TF leader. This code will be the basis for the development of alternative codes in MATLAB and in .NET Core. The aim of adding the two other languages is to cover all programming languages currently used in the softwares of test bench equipments. 3

Work planned for the PCD SG The subgroup agreed on the following side conditions: The codes shall be developed and delivered in that way that they can be used license free at any modern computer. The application of annex 1 (the choice of the appropriate cycle, the application of downscaling and/or capped speed) shall be included in the code(s). The MATLAB code will be provided by Eckhard Schlichte, the .NET Core code will be provided by Juergen Adam. 4

Work planned for the PCD SG The TF leader proposed to take the 115 vehicle configurations that have been distributed to the subgroup with the latest ACCESS tool as basis for the validation calculations and he volunteered to perform this work or share it with other group members. This proposal was accepted and Team Japan as well as Ivan Dimitrov announced their support with respect to the validation work. 5

Time schedule The time plan is as follows: Delivery of the Python code till end of June 2019, Delivery of the alternative codes in MATLAB and .NET Core till mid of September, Validation and report for the IWG till mid of October 2019. 6
