Stakeholder Engagement SEVERN TIDAL POWER FEASIBILITY STUDY – INDICATIVE HIGH LEVEL WORKPLAN 2008 2009 2010 Internal stop/continue review points Policy analysis - Stage 1 High level consideration : economic issues (costs, possible subsidy mechanism, energy market impact, ownership structure, Government role); environmental issues including regulatory compliance; regional social and economic impacts including on ports in the Severn; engineering and technical issues etc Policy analysis – Stage 2 Detailed issues analysis; cost benefit analysis and assessment against alternative investments in low carbon energy; initial work on planning and consents; scoping of implementation phases etc Public Consultation High level evidence analysis and Government recommendations Question: should Government support a Severn Tidal Power project and if so on what terms?
