Culminating Academic Review Adams State College Department of Teacher education graduate programs

The Purpose A final performance assessment –Offers the graduate candidate the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency through authentic assessment. –Completed during your last semester.

Essential Question How has the program of study influenced your development as a reflective decision – maker who: demonstrates leadership is a competent professional and facilitates learning for all students?

In short….. How has your pedagogy and philosophy of education changed since your course of graduate study?

What to present minute power point presentation. Lecture Posters, artifacts...what is important to you?

Panel Evaluation A panel of three Adams State College Department of Teacher Education faculty members will be before you. At least one member will be an instructor from your course of study.

Panel Evaluation Criteria The panel will look for evidence that may include, but are not limited to, the following: –Leadership –Facilitates learning for all students –Competent Professional

How the Assessment is Based The panel will evaluate your presentation by a rubric that will score you as: 1.Developing 2.Partially Proficient 3.Proficient 4.Advanced

Then what? After the candidate has completed the CAR exercises, the candidate will be mailed the evaluation. Graduation –A completed graduate application must be in your file at least one semester before you graduate. End of Presentation

Internship –Applications are due one semester before your scheduled start date. –Is based upon credit hours –You will select a mentor to monitor, assist and document your progress. –A College Supervisor will be assigned by ASC. –The College Supervisors role will be your link to ensure all internship criteria are met.
