Organizer: INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH Attention getting sentence/grabber sentence Restating the question with key terms defined Argument / position/ thesis / claim: road map of what this essay will be about. This is where you will discuss your reasons for your stand on the topic or issue. You must discuss which 3 documents you will be using.

BODY PARAGRAPH 1 Reason #1 (or the sub thesis) Evidence Argument The first reason that you provided in your original thesis statement. Evidence What information from the documents is there to support your Reason #1? Use evidence from the documents to provide two to three details about Reason #1. Make sure that you identify each source that you reference by text number and line number(s) or graphic from example: (Text 1, line 4) or (Text 2, graphic). Argument Explanation of why Reason #1 is one factor that supports your stand.
