Questions? Are there hours-of-service limits? Yes FMCSR’s 395.5 10 hours of driving 15 hours driving and on duty not driving in a 24 hour period. This does not apply to route buses or farmers ELD’s ?

Questions? What size bus can be driven without a CDL? 15 passenger to include the driver.

Questions? What are the restrictions on providing transportation to district private school students? Totally up to the districts If it’s another school district the in town student have tot have a central location. Out of town can be picked up and dropped off roadside.

Questions? What continuing training is required for school bus drivers? SDCL 13-29-21 Appropriate training at least once every 5 years. Driver will pay any fees charged for the training. The training shall include classroom instruction in first aid, bus safety, and the management of passengers, and also behind-the-wheel training to enable the safe and efficient operation of the bus.
