The Importance Of Love We are commanded to love God God commands us to not only love Him, but also the other children of God - 1 Jn. 4:20-5:1; Jn 13:34-35; Rom. 13:8-10 Notice other reasons that we need to have love for God and others Love covers a multitude of sins – 1 Pet 4:8 I am “nothing” without love – 1 Cor. 13:2 It is the perfect bond of unity – Col 3:14

Because Of Our Love For God We Obey Him There comes a time when we do things for God out of love and not out of fear We demonstrate our love for God by being obedient to Him - 1 Jn. 5:2-3; Jn 14:15, 14:23-24, 14:21 If we love God… We will meet with His church at any opportunity we get so that we can be encouraged to live faithfully - Heb. 10:25 If we love God, we will do anything He asks us to do! We will teach others about the salvation of God - Mk. 16:16 We will put Him first in our lives - Matt. 6:33 We will study His word - 2 Tim. 2:15

We Love God Because He First Loved Us We can know what love is because God loved us first - 1 Jn 4:16, 19 We know that God loves us because of what He did on the cross - 1 Jn 3:16 The greatest part about this love is that there is nothing that can separate us from His love - Rom. 8:32, 35-39
