class news Miss Jackson’s A Note from the Teacher Week of February 13th A Note from the Teacher What’s Happening in... Reading – This week we celebrated Valentine’s Day! We also learned dental health and ways to take care of our teeth. Sight Words – make, more, or, these Math – We are continuing working on solving addition/subtraction equations. We are also working on recognizing 10-groups in teen numbers. We are in need of small toys for our treasure box!  Yearbook order form due February 24th! Please turn them in and don’t miss out! Sign and return library field trip permission slips by February 27th Please turn in homework by the due date, unless your child is absent. In that case it will be due when they return to school. Students who do not turn in their homework by due date will not receive credit and possible prizes. Review and practice all sight words with your child. It is crucial for them to know these words, so that we can begin reading!  You can make them into flashcards and practice them with your child every night. Please practice reading with your child. The books that come home in their red folders are great!  Have students practice counting. By the end of kindergarten they must be able to count to 100 by ones, fives and tens. If your child comes home with unfinished work, please complete it with them and send it back.
