PS MISSION AND VISION Our Mission The Procurement Service (PS) is the primary instrument of government in promoting and ensuring economy, efficiency and transparency in public procurement. It is tasked to provide competent and responsive services as the governments only central procurement arm in facilitating the purchase of goods and services for its client agencies. PS ensures that all parties who are eligible and desirous of participating in public bidding are given equal opportunity and emerge as partners in fulfilling the requirements of government. As the administrator of the Philippine Government Procurement System (PhilGEPS), the PS has the responsibility of upholding transparency and increased level of competition and advocating responsible procurement across all instrumentalities of government. In fulfilling its mission to operate a central procurement system for common office goods, the Procurement Service is tasked with maintaining depots in all over the country so that all branches and instrumentalities of government can avail of the benefits of bulk procurement.

PS MISSION AND VISION Our Vision The Procurement Service intends to be the Philippines leading model for best procurement practices. It will be the governments most efficient tool in achieving savings and economies in scale in procurement. PS will be an organization of highly trained procurement professionals, utilizing advanced technology, dedicated to delivering timely, responsive, and value –added procurement services that constantly exceed its stakeholders expectations. PS will be the lead implementor of reforms and improvements in public procurement and will be a champion in the efficient use of the governments resources through responsible procurement practices. The PhilGEPS system will be an acclaimed model of government electronic procurement system showcasing the efficient use of information and communications technology and highlighting the governments commitment to procurement reforms and good and effective governance. The PS aims to create a borderless procurement environment where all instrumentalities of government can take advantage of the benefits of centralized procurement and procurement that is simplified and streamlined through the use of information and technology.
