Discussion- Constitute into groups of Fives Horace Miner. “The Body Ritual” Discuss and list the various aspects of the Nacirema culture that you find unique. Why do you find them unique? Against each item you have listed, compare it to you own culture. Do the two differ or are somewhat similar? How so? What is the one word that would best describe the Nacirema culture?

Ethnocentrism - using our own culture to judge others. Cultural Relativism -- appreciating other peoples’ way of life (culture) without judging them as superior or inferior to your own.
