Young Enterprise Scotland Company Scheme MCHS 2018-19

Do you want to further develop your skills in… Working effectively as part of a team Managing others Negotiating with external partners Dealing effectively with conflict Managing your workload under pressure

What does YES involve? Setting up and running a company until approx. March 2019 (or June if you are area winners!) All business funding, decision making and work will be done by the team You will be supported throughout by Mrs MacInnes The team will be ‘shareholders’ and at the end of the year, if you make profit you can draw a dividend from this (the teams over the last 2 years have made a very healthy profit)!

Commitment Only apply for the team if you are prepared for hard work – the last thing a team needs is anyone dropping out! You will usually meet twice a week in school to make decisions, share ideas and split up tasks (days and times TBC) Some meetings will be attended by myself and some you will self-manage. Evening/Weekend events will be a requirement: YES Renfrewshire launch event – usually early September in UWS (Paisley) Halloween Disco Parents Meetings to conduct market research or sell Braehead Trade Fair (December) Christmas fairs and other selling opportunities (team on a rota) Regional Finals (March)

Applications If you are interested in applying, please collect an application form from my room (A15) or from the Business staff base. Applications need to be completed and submitted to Mrs MacInnes or another Business teacher by 27 June 2018. I will confirm team members in August. If you have any questions, please come and see me!
