Electrical Charge

All mass has the property of electrical charge.

Charge is part of the structure of atoms. Protons have a positive charge Electrons are negative charge Objects with unequal amounts of protons and electrons are said to be charged.

What would be the charge of an object with equal numbers of electrons and protons? Most objects have equal numbers of protons and electrons giving them a neutral charge. Such objects are called neutral.

How do charged objects affect each other? Like charges repel Opposite charges attract These forces are called electrostatic forces. The attractive force between two opposite charges is 9,000,000,000 N
