Speaking at a School Event

Pass the Ball Impromptu Speaking One person closes their eyes. Pass the ball clockwise until the person with their eyes closed says “Stop!” and a letter from the alphabet. The person holding the ball must say 3 words starting with that letter of the alphabet while the ball keeps being passed. If you can’t say 3 words before you get the ball again, you change places with the person who had their eyes closed.

Think about the last time you spoke in English, or you had to speak to a native English speaker.

How do you write a good speech?

Before you go any further you need to know: WHO you are writing your speech for (the audience) WHAT your speech is going to be about (its topic) - the main points ranked in order of importance HOW long it needs to be e.g. 3 minutes

The basic speech format is simple: - Introduction - Body - Conclusion
