Got Outcomes! 2019 A Project of the National Coalition Institute at Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America

A Brief History Started 15 years ago this year- in 2004 First winners were: Boyd and Greenup Champions for a Drug-Free Kentucky, and Youth Leadership Institute's Marin County Prevention Youth Council Winning coalitions have been named, “Model Program,” “Single Substance,” “Milestone,” and others. Starting in 2016- Winners have been invited to present on their work in a session at a National Leadership Forum

Got Outcomes 2019 Continuing work to align the two part of the NCI

The things that are not changing: The award will take place across two phases Winners will be invited to present on their work at the National Leadership Forum Awards will be given at the National Leadership Forum

Things that ARE changing: Working with the National Coalition Academy training- with how anti-drug coalitions do their work- Products to be submitted And with the new submission materials- new and improved coalition development support Award levels

GOT OUTCOMES! Application Phase 1 Requirements include submission of: 1. Coalition Products: Community Assessment Logic Model Strategic and Action Plan Evaluation Plan Evaluation Communication Plan Sustainability Plan 2. One Page description of Coalition Outcomes (Short-, Intermediate- and Long-Term) GOT OUTCOMES! Application

GOT OUTCOMES! Application Phase 2: The Top 25% of Coalitions will be invited to submit: PPT Presentation “Telling the Coalition Story” One-page Infographic about the Coalition and its community-level outcomes

How do we apply? Materials required to apply for CADCA’s 2019 GOT OUTCOMES! Awards include coalition products relating to ONE substance, including:

Application Community Assessment Substance specific Logic Model Strategic and Action Plan Evaluation Plan Short term: 6-24 months (baseline and 1-2 follow up data points) Intermediate: 1-4 years (baseline and 2-3 follow up data points) Long Term: 3-10 years (baseline and 3-4 follow up data points) Evaluation Communication Plan Sustainability Plan Templates and information on how the products are scored can be found on the GOT OUTCOMES Scoring Rubric found on the GOT OUTCOMES website at https://cadca.org/gotoutcomes.

And how do you do this? STEP 1: Select ONE youth substance use issue that your coalition has successfully addressed and would like to highlight in this application. While your coalition may have achieved success addressing more than one substance use issue, you will need to come to a consensus about which one to highlight.

Steps 2 and 3 STEP 2: STEP 2: Identify the community-level outcomes your coalition has contributed to in the substance use issue identified in Step 1. Will you be highlighting the achievement of Short-term outcomes? Short-term and Intermediate outcomes? Short-term, Intermediate, and Long-term outcomes? STEP 3: Submit the required coalition products for the substance your coalition has selected – along with the one-page GOT OUTCOMES application form. Applications with missing required content will be disqualified. No additional materials will be reviewed.

Submitting your Phase I Application Your Phase I application must be emailed to CADCA no later than 11:59pm (EST) Thursday, August 1, 2019. Please send your application documents as attachments in an email to gotoutcomes@cadca.org with the subject heading “GOT OUTCOMES! Phase I Application”. Upon submission, CADCA will send you a confirmation that your application was received.
