2. Purpose Represent the interests of students and newly qualified members in the CIPFA Scottish Branch; Act as a facilitator for those wishing to organise group sessions; Organise events (e.g. pre-seen events, workshops, etc.) that serve both an educational purpose as well as an opportunity to network; Provide opportunities for students and newly qualified members to widen their training experience through volunteer activities with the society

3. 2016 Plan May and November 2016 – Pre-seen events planned for the strategic level papers in June and December 2016; There will be a couple of workshops between July and October – the details are to be confirmed following the results of the questionnaire; The location of events will depend upon the outcome of the questionnaire results

4. New Exam Format Information about the new online exam format can be found on CIPFA’s website: https://www.cipfa.org/qualifications/online-exams A lunchtime webinar on the topic is planned for mid-April. Further details on how to access this will be circulated by email once the date is confirmed.

5. Questionnaire This will assist us in planning events during the year that meet the needs of students and newly qualified members; Please return the questionnaires to one of the volunteers on the day or by email to scotlandstudentsociety@cipfa.org no later than the end of Monday 28 th March 2016;scotlandstudentsociety@cipfa.org Further event announcements (e.g. dates and locations) will be confirmed following the questionnaire deadline
