ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS when gold is being cleaned cyanide a poison to people, animals, and fish is extracted to large bodies of water To avoid cyanide poisoning they are making it known to the world to be careful with certain plants, dairy products, pits and seeds in fruits and also meats that you eat because it can contain the poisonous substance that can harm the body. The EPA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are advising people "not- to-exceed" levels of this substance and avoid it as much as possible

WHERE DOES GOLD COME FROM Gold is found mostly in solid forms, in rocks. They can be eroded and placed in form of powder, granules or nuggets in riverbeds. The abundance of gold in the Earth's crust Gold is thought to be most common in the ocean About a quarter of the world's gold comes from South Africa. In the United States, about two-thirds of its gold is mined in Nevada. California, Montana, Alaska, and South Dakota also produce gold.

CULTURAL CONCERNS Many cultures around the world used gold for acts of worship, and to symbolize their deities In Ancient Egypt gold was thought of as flesh of the gods, and was also used to represent the sun. Like many cultures, sun worshiping was important part of life. The Egyptians would give gold to there Pharaohs as a token of their gratitude. To deal with concerns of the gold rush. 300,000 seekers came to California during the gold rush. This led to a variety of different languages, religion, and social customs. Many Chinese immigrants compromised into mining the gold of areas which later lead to the Chinese Exclusion Act. This act discriminated against the Chinese.

HUMAN RIGHTS CONCERNS With the high demand of gold in the world and the difficulties of finding gold there was a report that accused private security guards of the mining of rape on vulnerable women, as well as abusing them To deal with the concerns of Human Rights the area the police have deployed squads unfortunately we do not know if these squads are also abusing the local villagers

HOW GOLD AFFECTS CURRENCIES Gold is one of the most widely discussed metals due to its prominent role in both the investment and consumer world. Even though gold is no longer used as a primary form of currency in developed nations, it continues to have a strong impact on the value of those currencies. There is a strong correlation between its value and the strength of currencies trading on foreign exchanges.
