724 Temperature Calibrator Powerful, yet easy to use Simultaneously source / simulate and measure: mA measure Vdc RTDs (7 types) TCs (10 types) Loop power supply to power transmitters

724 MPC: Features/Benefits Dual measure/source display Set 0% and 100% range values 0%, 100%, and 25% step keys Auto stepping, auto ramping temperature and voltage Memory for frequently used setups Battery access without breaking calibration seal

Upper Display Controls Process Tools 724 Temp Upper Display Controls Measure Volts dc Turn on 24V loop power with mA measure The display is divided into two parts: Measure only Measure and source With this the unit can source/measure virtually all useful combinations of measure/measure and measure source <click> Connections for the measurement only are to the right The upper part of the large display is used for measuring those parameters that are used to together with other parameters: <click> Volt, mA, mA with Loop power for transmitter testing and <click> Pressure of course. Measure mA dc Upper Display Terminals for measure

Lower Display Controls Process Tools 724 Temp Lower Display Controls Measure or Source Selection buttons for: V or mA Ohms RTD and type TC and type Arrow keys set source values, left right to select digit, up down to change value The lower part of the display is used for measuring or sourcing. The connectors are the left and center ones. <click> For thermocouples a the special mini-jack is used. <click> (These connectors have the advantage of very low mass, so that the thermal block will not have temperature differences) <click> The measure/source button determines easily whether there is an output (simulation) or an input. <click> With the 6 buttons the parameter, type and unit is quickly chosen <click> If the unit is souring: The horizontal arrow keys choose the digit and the vertical arrow keys determine the value the As you can see. It is all easy and straightforward. No complicated menu’s etc. Just press the button and the 725 straightforwardly goes into the correct mode. Lower Display Terminals TC connectors

Features Store and Recall up to eight test setups Back-light Process Tools 724 Temp Store and Recall up to eight test setups Back-light Set 0% and 100% values (span). Do quick Span Check or Step in 25% steps up or down. Press and hold 0% and 100% to set displayed value On top <click>, the connector for the pressure module or the computer. <click> The back-light can be alternately switched on or off. The additional testing features are also very simple: <click> Set the unit to source, define the 0% value, using the arrow buttons and simply press 0% button for two seconds. Also define the 100% value 100% value (using the same procedure). Now you can do many things: Spancheck (switching between 0 and 100%) Linearity check or (manually stepping with 25% steps) <click> Automatic Ramping (slow or fast) Automating stepping with 5 second levels <click> You can also store and recall up to 8 frequently used setups easily and simply. Select slow ramp, fast ramp, and step function on any sourced parameter based on 0% and 100% settings Features

Temperature Calibration 2 2 5 2 zero span Set the span 0%-100% Use 25% step keys to calibrate Simulation of different types of Thermocouples and RTDs Accurate and high resolution current measurements 24V loop power supply to test independent of the loop 24V loop supply - reduces the need for taking a separate power supply when doing offline transmitter testing. Very large, dual display with 2 brightness settings - for optimum readability under all working conditions. 1200 Ohm drive capability on mA source - for testing loop instruments with high impedance. HART mode with built-in 250 ohm resistor - no need for separate resistors when working with Hart communicators 0% and 100 % buttons - toggle source between 4 and 20 mA for a quick span check 10

Special function, battery save The calibrator comes with the Shut Down mode enabled for a time duration set to 30 minutes Displayed for about 1 second when the calibrator is initially turned on To disable the Shut Down mode, press simultaneously. To enable the mode, press simultaneously. To adjust the time duration, press simultaneously, then press to adjust the time between 1 and 30 minutes.

Save and recall setups Store and Recall up to eight test setups Configure the calibrator Set 0% and 100% source values Press STORE SETUP Press left and right arrows to select locations 1-8 (top of display) then press STORE SETUP again to save as desired set up number To recall setup press RECALL Left and right arrows to select setup 1-8 then press RECALL to recall the setup Store and Recall up to eight test setups
