Disability Support Programs & Services (DSPS)

Our Mission… DSPS seeks to empower students with disabilities to achieve their goals and become contributing members of society by eliminating barriers and facilitating services for students to become accountable, self- reliant, responsible and capable.

San Joaquin Delta College Steps to DSPS 1) Apply to Delta College: https://www.deltacollege.edu/dept/ar/admissions/welcome_new.html 2) Take assessment (Assessment Center located in DeRicco 110) or Self-Assess into level 1. 3) Attend a New Student Group Advising (NSGA)* session or register for online orientation: https://deltacollege.edu/dept/guidance/OnlineOrientation.html *Call DSPS two days in advance to arrange for accommodations 4) Make an appointment with a DSPS Counselor and bring disability verification from an appropriate certifying professional (IEP, Disability Verification Form, etc.) Please note: appointments rescheduled for students who do not bring disability documentation. Transition for Academic Success is Key (TASK) TASK is an intensive orientation for students who learn differently, offered Monday - Thursday, June 4th – 15th , 8:15 am to 12:45 pm. On-line applications accepted April 2nd – May 4th. Limited to 25 students.
