4 th Grade Science.  Energy is the ability to work or cause change.  Work means moving an object form one place to another.  Energy makes things happen.
Natural Cycles Ecology Unit. Water and certain chemicals- such as carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen- are constantly being exchanged between air, water, soil,
Energy has multiple forms and can be changed from one form to another.
The sun is the major source of energy for the earth.
Energy The ability to do work or cause changes in matter.
 A SOURCE OF ENERGY is where humans get energy from Example: solar energy, wind energy, oil, etc.
The Sun The sun is made up of 70% hydrogen, 28% helium, and 2% other small atoms. The estimated surface temperature of the sun is about 5800 o C.

Sun 4th Grade Science

Sun The Sun produces and gives off its own light and heat. Earth receives that heat and light after they travel through space.

Sun The Sun is the source of almost all energy on Earth. Plants take the Sun’s energy and use it to make food energy.

Sun The Sun’s energy causes weather conditions on Earth.

Sun Heat from the Sun causes the process of evaporation of water on Earth’s surface.

Sun The Sun’s energy is stored in fossil fuels that formed from some organisms that died long ago. coal, oil, natural gas
