Compare & Contrast Johannes Vermmer Asia Young

Johannes Vermmer Johannes was a Dutch artist, who's work inspired the history of art. He registered as a master painter in Delft Guild Of Saint Luke on December 29, 1653. Vermeer began to depict scenes of daily life by the second half of the 1650s’. Vermeer's interior scenes were influenced by the work of Pieter De Hooch His work influenced me because of how precise and extremely detail it is. He uses shading to show where the light hits, he shows the contrast between the objects and the 3d visual off the canvas look.

Similarities Our work is similar because of how we both use contrast. We both use color contrast to differ the overlapping objects. We also use blending to combined the colors to make an affect on the paintings.

Differences Some differences are…. Vermeer depicts an interior scene by daily life. I use depict a silhouette based off of the movie “night mare before Christmas”.

Would Johannes Vermeer like my work? Honestly I believe that Johannes would like my work. He would like my work because of the unique and simplistic look I accomplished. Also how I contrast the colors to bring out objects and used a tint for the sun to make it seemed lighter. That I made the bats from small to big to make them seem at an distance. How I use blending to add a dramatic affect to the night sky.
