III. PROPOSED CHANGES in MUR Regulation Quality indicators moved from core text to annex 2. No requirement to transmit monthly LFS data 3. Main other changes First transmission synchronized with LFS under IESS => 25 June N at the latest, earlier transmissions welcome Requirements for back series aligned with LFS under IESS => 25 May N+1 at the latest, earlier transmissions welcome

Transition period (JAN N – JUNE N): Question: Shall we stop transmitting MUR data? Answer: => NO, current gentlemen's agreement still applicable => MUR data to be transmitted in June N at the latest => No intention to suspend the MUR release

Break-free series: Question: When shall MSs start transmitting break-free MUR? Answer: => As soon as published nationally (idem quarterly series) => At the latest by 25 May N+1 => MUR series transmitted shall be consistent with the quarterly series transmitted (at all times)

Other comments: - Consistency between monthly and quarterly data to be added as a quality criterion (AT); - Drafting suggestions (e.g. LV, PL) to be considered in a revised (post-LAMAS) version; (ECB on trend / SA data, NO on moving averages, FI on deviations from uniform sample distribution, PT on Christmas break, PL on back series for monthly inputs, UK on derogations for 1st transmission of MUR data, ).

Other comments: - Trend data, 3 Months Moving Averages, etc. not excluded (NO input harmonization) but also assessed through the MUR quality criteria mentioned in annex (output harmonization); - Other specific comments will be handled bilaterally. => Emails to send to: Denis.Leythienne@ec.europa.eu => Before 14 December (ECB on trend / SA data, NO on moving averages, FI on deviations from uniform sample distribution, PT on Christmas break, PL on back series for monthly inputs, UK on derogations for 1st transmission of MUR data, ).

CONCLUSIONS The LAMAS delegates are invited: To take note of the results of the LAMAS consultation To agree / comment on the revised version of the MUR regulation To agree that a revised draft be circulated after LAMAS To note that this (post-LAMAS) version will be the basis for further discussions e.g. at DSS level
