Content, Context & Capacity A collaborative digitization project on the Long Civil Rights Movement (LCRM) in North Carolina Funding from IMLS, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources TRLN Annual Meeting

Content, Context & Capacity 4 TRLN repositories Duke * NCCU * NCSU * UNC Chapel Hill ~ 40 manuscript collections and archival record groups on the LCRM ~ 400,000 digital objects 2011 TRLN Annual Meeting

Project Goals Promote educational and scholarly research uses of modern manuscripts and archival resources by digitizing entire collections/record groups Provide proof of concept for a collaborative approach to large-scale digitization Develop shared standards and practices Test inter-institutional workflows for future digitization projects 2011 TRLN Annual Meeting
