3 Current Scholarship Program (CSP) 2010: JSTOR launches Current Scholarship program to help the academic community – presses, scholarly associations, libraries, faculty, and students – benefit from investment in a shared technology platform and related services to support the economically sustainable publication, dissemination, and use of new scholarship. Deep understanding library needs and the challenges and inefficiencies inherent in the current system of scholarly communication. Desire to collaborate in ways that are innovative, share and use technological and other resources wisely and efficiently, and promote wide- spread access to scholarship in sustainable ways. 4 Two Components of CSP: Current Issues 2011: Current Issues of select publishers available on JSTOR platform. 1) Moving Wall Backfile IssuesCurrent Issues Vol. 1 Issue 1 Current Vol. Issue Available on JSTOR Current issue subscribers may align titles with JSTOR back file. Seamless access across entire run of title on JSTOR platform. “Current” Single Title/Collection: Prices established by publisher. Full Run” Single Title/Collection: Fee is an aggregate of current price, set by publisher, plus individual back file fee, set by JSTOR.70% of e-only subscription price

9 Savings for Libraries and Consortia Fees for backfile collections remain constant; millions of pages are added to collections every year. Currently offer savings of 9% to ANKOS members. Direct orders for Current Issues and e-Books avoids Agent fees. Realize and extend cost savings for single licensing / single invoicing Evaluating volume-based savings with Current Issue purchases.
