Model T Assembly Line, 1917 – A World First Huxley was fascinated by the implications of applying car assembly line methods to human biology

                                                                                                                                                    

A long conveyor carries the identical components to various work stations throughout the factory.

The nearly finished chassis have the main body attached as they move down the line.

The finished automobiles – all of the same colour and style – are about to be rolled off into the various lots for shipment.

The basic concepts behind the Model-T assembly line of 1917 are still applied in the auto industry today. Other manufacturing industries apply the same principles as well.
