Betsy Ross By Angelie

Introduction Betsy Ross was a seamstress. She went on and made the American Flag. Betsy lived during the American Revolution.

Betsy Ross’s Life Betsy Ross got married and had four kids named Lucilla, Eliza, Clarissa, and Susan. Then Lucilla was sick and Betsy’s husband died. So she got married again and had another child. When she was a kid she went to a Quaker school six days a week and learned to sew.

The War Betsy Ross lived during a war. The American Revolution was happening in Philadelphia. People were forced to live with other people. The only people who weren’t suffering were the British leaders.

Accomplishments Betsy Ross became famous because of the American Flag. Betsy Ross made the American Flag because the Colonies were angry. Then John had an idea he knew that Betsy was a good sewer so he told her to make the flag. She did but she only put thirteen stars for the thirteen Colonies. Now these days we have 50 stars on the flag.

Conclusion Betsy Ross is very important. She made the American Flag. She survived in the American Revolution. She learned how to sew very well for the flag.
