Safety Guidelines for all evGrand prix events Track and Event Safety Safety Guidelines for all evGrand prix events

Track and Event Safety It is everyone's responsibility to look out for the safety of ourselves and all others with the immediate area. Safety policies are developed for consistency across the board Safety policies and procedures are checked for compliance and enforcement. Safety is REQUIRED not simply a recommendation

Regulatory References OSHA general duty clause requires “a workplace that is free from any recognized hazards that may cause serious injury of death …”

Team Responsibilities All teams must have an Incident Management Plan on hand and team members must be aware of procedures contained therein Teams must have an MSDS book Safety glasses are MANDATORY when working on go kart Long hair must be ties back and jewelry removed when working on go kart Long pants and closed toed shoes are MANDATORY when working on go kart Pit gloves are highly recommended. They will prevent minor lacerations and abrasions.

Track and Event special notes Safety glasses are MANDATORY in pit area. Long pants and closed toed shoes are MANDATORY in pit area and track side (Corner Workers, Flagmen, Kart Recovery Personnel, etc.) Long hair MUST be ties back in pit area Jewelry is PROHIBITED in pit area Helmet, Driver Suit, Gloves, Neck Brace, Rib Protector, Closed Toed Shoes are MANDATROY for all drivers

Track and Event IMP (Incident Management Plan) Each event will have a Safety/Regulatory Officer All teams are required to report ALL incidents of injury to the Safety/Regulatory Officer Charging allowed in designated charging areas only Practicing/Testing outside the approved track location is prohibited Team “garage” area and pit location will remain organized and clear of hazards at all times Each team will be allowed a maximum of ONE trailer. Parking of all vehicles will be in the designated parking area

Track and Event IMP Never cross the track under Green Flag conditions unless directed by Race Official Corner workers must remain a minimum of 20 feet from interior of line of racing surface unless directed by Race Official

Hand Signals Track official – Remain in pole positions as you round the track. Crew Chief – Driver power up kart Crew Chief – Driver power down kart Driver – I’m Slow, Pass me on the left on the right

Flags Green – Start Race Yellow – Caution Blue – Let Drivers Pass Red – Stop Racing Black – Disqualification or Warning White – Last Lap Checkered – End of Race
