Institutional Mindset Is the church merely an institution through which we work? Or is it a relationship?

Institutional Mindset Religion is a work of the church Christians mainly work “in” & “through” & “for” their local church The church is an organization greater than those who comprise it Like a Bank, School, Hospital

Institutional Mindset Proof-text preaching: Bible teaching where the context is ignored Problem: it encourages people to put their faith in someone’s explanation of a passage, without studying it out for themselves

Institutional Mindset Proof-text preaching: Bible teaching where the context is ignored Emphasis on tradition: human custom replaces Apostolic command & example

Avoid the Institutional Mindset It misunderstands of the true nature of the church! The Lord’s body is a relationship, it is not a business organization.
