One of the biggest advantages of electric cars is that they do not pollute the environment and emit less harmful to the nature gas. Thats why the mass use of electric cars will bring slowing down the global warming.

Electric car is powered by fuel cells or electric motor. Batteries used in these cars are lead-acid, nickel-metal-hydride, Li-ion polymer and lithium ion batteries. Batteries in electric cars stored electricity in ultra capacitors or two flywheel. Charging of these batteries is through the car charger connected directly to a standard 220 voltaic net. In some electric cars batteries can even be changed to a gas station with a fully loaded ones.

Father of the electric car is Tomas Devanport, who back in 1834 patent the first electric car driven by batteries, which can not be rechargeable. In the next 50 years French physicist, creator of lead batteries and American scientist invented the nickel- iron battery, working on her improvement.

Electric car has one small advantage - it should not be so complicated mechanism as likely the car you probably drive now. In the electric car complex electronics and software replace tones of parts needed to produce the spark to ignite the fuel powered internal combustion engines.

As with any new technology, we looked to electric cars skeptical when we see it for first time. The biggest problem encountered in electric cars is that of the traveling in large distances.

But with improved technology in these areas, the problem begins gradually eliminated. Now even large companies are starting developments in this area.

In the future, is not expected to see only futuristic new cars. Companies are starting to build models already familiar with electric motors to improve their acceptance by the ordinary person. Renault and Nissan in 2011 thing to begin a project and start to build electric models of Clio, Megane и Kangoo.
