SERVICES IN A VILLAGE AND SERVICES IN A CITY Compare the services in Stamford Bridge and York. Come to a conclusion about the size of a settlement and its services.

SERVICES & SETTLEMENTS Hamlets often have no services. Villages have essential services, such as a shop, a primary school, a post office, a pub, a doctor. These are low-order services. Large towns and cities have a wide range of services, including leisure centres, chain stores, hospitals, universities, theatres and museums. These are high-order services. People usually have to travel further to use high-order services.
