2.1.3 Single Entry Point for reference metadata General strategy: to use the Single Entry Point also for the transmission of national reference metadata The national reference metadata files should use the Euro SDMX metadata structure (ESMS) Also the appropriate toolkits for the creation, transmission and management of reference metadata in SDMX-ML should be used (to be integrated in the architecture of the SEP) The features provided by the SEP can also be used (e.g. basic validation of the format, etc.) 15 & 16 October 2007 IT Directors Group

2.1.3 Single Entry Point for reference metadata First reference metadata transmissions now requested within the SODI project (deadline 11/2007) Time planning: the data transmission (using the ESMS) and the SEP could start successively in 2008 However: frequency of transmission of reference metadata in general lower compared to data 15 & 16 October 2007 IT Directors Group
