Why Technology? Encouraged by Admin Students want it / use it We enjoy it?! Lots of Research. . . .

Research Generally positive Some Negative aspects of technology: (not used for academics by students, not all students have access to the resources, software/hardware problems, internet connectivity, etc.) Generally positive Multimedia learning – hearing, watching, experiencing the same info using multiple senses Quizzing – highly supported method of studying Metacognition – understanding how well you know information, how you learn Engagement – more focus and attention in the classroom Multimedia – listening to lecture, watching video, writing responses to questions/taking notes, etc. Quizzing – lots of technology for that

Goal for Today Provide Information Demonstrate some tools Learn something new! I don’t have all the answers, but. . . Provide info – I have not used all of these tools personally, but asked for input from my fellow psyc instructors via social media I tried to do some of the research for us on what’s out there
