Performing on instruments, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music. Improvise melodies, variations, and accompaniments. Compose and arrange music within specified guidelines. Read and notate music. Listen to, analyze, and describe music. Evaluate music and music performances. Understand relationships between music, other arts, and disciplines outside the arts.

Music Theory II Course Description Period 5-Music Theory II In this course students with prior music theory training study , form, and analysis, and develop individual aural skills. The aural, analytical, and cognitive skills expanded in this class inform the serious musician's performance abilities over a variety of styles and genres. Public performances may serve as a resource for specific instructional goals. Students may be required to attend one or more performances outside the school day to support, extend, and assess learning in the classroom.
