My researches

The aims of the project. To explain what anarchism is. To describe its rise and down. To explain, why communism idea was the main enemy of anarchism To analyze the problems of Paris Commune and explain why it fell. To describe the participation of anarchism in the civil war in Russia. To analyze opportunities of anarchism popularity to grow.

What is it? Anarchism - from ἀν — «without» and ἄρχή — «power») advocates for elimination any forced control and the power of man over man.

Principles of Anarchism. Absence of power; Freedom from coercion; Freedom of associations; Variety; Friendly relationship in society; Equality; Mutual help.

William Godwin. Born 3 March 1756 Died 7 April 1836 (aged 80) Enquiry concerning Political Justice, and its Influence on General Virtue and Happiness. His main political book “The first to formulate the political and economical conceptions of anarchism, even though he did not give that name to the ideas developed in his work"

First International. Communism and Anarchism are now enemies. 1864 Anarchist Mikhail Bakunin Karl Marx - dictatorship of the proletariat. Defeat 1872 Easy win Communism and Anarchism are now enemies. Deletion from first international.

What is the problem in relationship between communism and anarchism? Anarchists Communists Most of the anarchist leaders don't wanted power, and fought for equality. Communists want the dictatorship of the Proletariat, so they support state and want to rule the country. These ideologies cannot be allies, because they fundamentally contradict each other.

Paris Commune – how it appeared. 1870—1871 War Defeat Big crisis. Country is divided. Paris Commune Democratic government.

The great fiasco of left powers. Why did they loose? Government War Economy Utopian Communists Not so many factories The lack of talented generals No tactics. Just attack and attack The lack of able statesmen. Anarchists Syndicalists Government was divided. It couldn’t steer the country.

The 28 th of May 1871 Results: the most part of French anarchists is destroyed. the decline in the popularity of revolutionary ideas. Left democratic revolution is over. The proletariat dictature revolution will be more efficient.

The February revolution of 1917 The provisional government. The Bolsheviks. Main opposition. Against Anarchists Support

The defeat of anarchists in Moscow. The 12 th of April 1918 Moscow anarchists. Bolsheviks Anarchists are now the enemies of revolution.

Gulyaipolskaya Republic Anarchist Nestor Machno goes out of the prison the February revolution of 1917 All political prisoners are liberated He goes to Gulyai-pole. Anarchist republic is made. Nestor Machno. Is fights against everybody In the end of summer 1921, it is destroyed

Why doesn't anarchism popularity grow? <Right> anarchism <Left> anarchism The great success of democracy has turned thinking of workers in the right direction, so anarchism looses his main supporters. People find the government really good stabilizer in the economy, so they are not sure, that business will stabilize without the state. Becomes <forgotten> ideology, because nobody supports it.
