Overview of presentation Based on a set of criteria and a regional inter-governmental consultation process involving Arab Governments and institutions, a set of additional indicators was proposed and later approved by the Arab Ministerial Water Council as the basis for monitoring access to water and sanitation services (MDG+ Initiative).  The presentation will highlight the development process of this regional initiative in light of the current global debate to shape the position of water within the post-2015 global development agenda.
