Why Is it Important to Know Your GPA? Departments will consider certain GPAs for admissions requirements (e.g. the GPA for Pre-Core Classes as well as the Overall GPA). A certain GPA is required in order to graduate. Specific GPAs are required in order to graduate with honors (consult the Course Catalog or your major department for information).
