The Scope of the PAR for IEEE 802.15.4e The intent of this amendment is to enhance and add functionality to the 802.15.4-2006 MAC to better support the industrial markets and b) permit compatibility with modifications being proposed within the Chinese WPAN.

The Key Point To maintain the scope of the PAR for IEEE 802.15.4e, the authors of the above proposals point out unanimously: The spec of IEEE802.15.4E should be backward compatible to IEEE802.15.4-2006 std. The authors of the above proposals plan to submit a joint technical proposal in the next IEEE802.15.4E meeting
