MEASURING MASS

Customary Customary is a system of measurement we use here in the US. Most of the rest of the world uses the Metric system.

Customary MASS: Ounces oz. Pounds lb. Ton T. 16 oz.=1 pound

Metric Metric is a system of measurement that most of the world uses. Most people use… Metric Metric is a system of measurement that most of the world uses. The US does not use the Metric system (We use Customary).

Metric MASS: grams g kilograms kg 1,000 grams=1 kilogram Kilo means 1,000

= = 1 oz. 28 g. 2+ lbs. 1 kg. Customary Metric MASS Grams are smaller than ounces. 2+ lbs. = 1 kg. Kilograms are bigger than pounds.

MASS 16 oz.=1 pound 2,000 lb = 1 Ton 1,000 grams=1 kilogram Customary Metric 1,000 grams=1 kilogram Conversion 1 oz. is about 28 grams. Conversion 1 kilogram is a little more than 2 pounds.
