Represent the Idea and Abstract a design by sketch How to Represent an idea or start a design ? Steps : 1. Do a research 2. Deciding what is your concept 3. Illustrating your thoughts on a paper and this is what is called a sketch 4. Start taking outlines, then abstract your design to make a successful design

What is a Concept ? An abstract idea; a general notion or a thought When it comes to interior design styles, give yourself the permission to think outside the box. There are so many wonderful ways to define who you are by creating a magnificent living space. Allow yourself to be creative. Be stylish. And when I say outside the box, I don't necessarily mean go crazy, I simply suggest you take some steps to create the type of interior design that you really want. Be creative with your interior design styles, find ways to be individual and do not be afraid to give up the good for the great. Be inspired by places that you've been, styles that you've seen in either magazines or on t.v. and then try them out with confidence. Interior design styles are essentially about building an environment to seduce the emotions.

For example: Concept: Seashell Making lines simple and looking for the function Ending up to give a suitable, efficient video game chair

Abstracting simple elements or objects or even signs to make a successful design that could suit your interior space

Concepts Abstracted from nature 1.Trees 2. Bee hive Or Hexagonal grids

Flower and leaf shapes partition being repeated in different or constant forms

Simplicity in the form Depending on the intersection of line Concept To reduce space and decorate Multifunction idea Partition and using it as a seat and book or accessories shelves

Assignment: State your concept, and apply your design through what you have studied in your previous research. Ps. Bring all your sketches, and apply more than one concept.

Thank You Prof. Hana Yassen Eng. Maha Elwany
