Born august 18,1944 Paula used her niece and her own childhood to make her books she has gained a strong following in both the u.s.a. and England. She passed away in 2004 spreading her books in over 53 countries and 14 languages

The conflict in this story is all about ms.finney getting fired she brought joy into her students lives and mr.stone the antagonist did not care one bit he fired her because she is unpatriotic he thinks that children should be taught out of a book and that fun is unprofessional the protagonist Marcy Lewis steps out of her comfort zone and fights back with the help of a few friends she feels that ms.Finney is worth fighting for because of her free personality and the ability to accept all shapes sizes colors and races of students
