THE PURPOSE OF THE COURSE There are many different kinds of driving courses, but this is one that will help you become more than just a good driver. It will help you become a safe, responsible, defensive driver. Most important you`ll gain skills that may one day save your life or others` lives.

Here are the goals we`ll meet by the end of these sessions. Please turn to CG 2 Here are the goals we`ll meet by the end of these sessions. Identify driving behaviors that lead you to receive or have collisions. Acknowledge problems and determine cost that result from your current driving behaviors. Identify what motivates your driving behaviors. Recognize the part that choice plays in how you behave behind the wheel. Develop a personal action plan to change your current driving behaviors. Recognize the part that drugs and alcohol play in endangering yourself and others and in risking the loss of your driving privilege.

Your instructor will assign you a partner. CG 3 We`re going to spend a number of hours together, and during that time it`s important to create a positive learning experience. One way to do that is to get to know something about each other. Your instructor will assign you a partner. Your job is to find out three things about this person and then introduce him or her to the group. Ask your partner these 3 questions: Their name What would you be doing today if you weren`t taking this course? What is one thing you want to learn from this course?

Now it`s your turn to answer a question When your partner asked, what did you say is the one thing you want to learn from this course? Write it down in your guide, You`ll refer back to this page later on.
