Balance (Line Art Morph) Balance is one of the principles of art, which describes how artists to create visual weight. The balance of the lines of the picture and the actual picture.

Contrast (The Book cover, Genre Mystery) Contrast is one of the principles of art which creates excitement and interest in artworks. Two things that are very different have a lot of contrast The black and white are contrasting in color.

Emphasis (Collage) Emphasis is one of the principle of art. Artists use emphasis to make certain parts of their artwork stand out and grab your attention. The purple flower stands out compared to the black & white flowers.

Pattern Close up ( Guess What?)

Pattern Revealing It’s the mane of a Zebra! The stripes on the Zebra’s skin, makes a unique pattern of black & white stripes.

Proportion (Name Composition) Proportion is one of the principles of art which describes the size, location or amount of one thing compared to another. My body is proportioned next to my name, giving the image of me on the letters.

Rhythm ( Free be) Rhythm is one of the principles of art. Visual rhythm makes you think of the rhythms you hear in music or dance. Artists create visual rhythm by repeating art elements and creating patterns. The flower swirls make it seem like they are flowing.

Unity ( Crayon Etching) Unity is the feeling that everything in the work of art works together and looks like it fits. The circles seem to intertwine, making the artwork come to life.

Variety Variety occurs when an artist creates something that looks different from the rest of the artwork. An artist may use variety to make you look at a certain part or make the artwork more interesting. The faces of the girl are all the same, except one of her entire body, making you look at her more than the faces.
