Operational Policies for all Anadromous Hatcheries 1. Source of Hatchery Broodstock Only fish entering the hatchery voluntarily shall be used as broodstock. 2. Take of Eggs The annual egg allotment for all species cultured shall be distributed throughout the length of the spawning run in proportion to historic temporal distribution of runs. 3. Ban on Release of Excess Eggs or Fry No excess hatchery eggs or fry shall be stocked in anadromous waters. 4. Take of Fish Entering Hatchery All salmon entering the hatchery will be retained in the hatchery. All live Steelhead will be released back to the stream.
