Welcome to week 2 of our Voice series.

Prophecy defined: Prophecy is divinely inspired messages revealing God’s will or nature.

Prophecy is the thinking of heaven communicated in human words.

Gifts of the spirit and given with baptism of the Holy Spirit Gifts of the spirit and given with baptism of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12)

Gifts of the spirit: The supernatural ability to move in line with heaven and build up heaven on earth.

Gifts of the spirit: Faith is key to moving in the gifts

1 Corinthians 14:1 says: “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.” - We are meant to pursue the gift of prophecy.

Prophecy is important as it creates and deepens relationship with God.

Activation:

Growing in our revelation of God is the best way to grow in the prophetic gift.

An accurate view of God and ourselves is an important foundation for accurate prophecy.

The aim of prophecy is to (1) Strengthen People

(2) Encourage People

(3) Comfort People

Foundations For Accurate Prophecy: (1) Knowing the Word

2. Understanding the Cross

3. Humility

4. Faith

The Voice of God is consistent!

He is always communicating.

It is true to His nature.

We need to be tuned into God’s voice to hear from him and discern it from other voices around us.

God’s voice is for everyone!

God wants to talk to His children.

God’s voice is not influenced by our mood.

It is powerful!

Activation:
