1 Student Leader Training
Week 1 The ideas, belief, and character of Student Leadership

2 Importance of Student Leadership
In fact, student leadership is required for FCA to function properly as a school club. In addition to this, student leadership provides a unique opportunity to call students in the huddle to higher commitment and service.

3 What is a Student Leader?

4 Student Leaders are.. Students who regularly attend an FCA huddle and take on extra responsibility to ensure that the huddle is functioning properly and effectively! “Just as captains are held to a higher standard for their team, FCA Student Leaders are held to a higher standard of biblical lifestyle and conduct. God desires all of his people, especially leaders, to pursue his standards of holiness through their conduct and obedience. Paul the Apostle instructed young Timothy to live similarly in 1 Timothy 4:12: ‘Do not let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”

5 Student Leaders are.. Students who regularly attend an FCA huddle and take on extra responsibility to ensure that the huddle is functioning properly and effectively! Not always perfect examples, but they do their best to live and conduct themselves in accordance with biblical values and instruction in order to glorify God.”

6 What does it look like to live out this verse?
1 Timothy 4:12: ‘Do not let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”

7 How would strong Student Leaders affect the school and other students?

8 Student Leadership is…
different than what they often see around them. We as student leaders have an incredible opportunity to impact other people for Christ as we represent Christ in the way we live.

9 What does the bible teach about leadership?

10 The bible’s view of leadership is not…
A position of authority allowing us to put ourselves over others (Mk. 10:42-45) An opportunity to boss people around A position based on experience, age, or natural ability (1 Tim. 4:12)

11 The bible’s view of leadership is…
A position of humble service to other people (Mk. 10:43-45) An opportunity to build other people up A position based on character qualities (1 Tim. 3)

12 Interested? Apply! Week 2 is the role and actions of a strong Student Leader Week 3 is a Student Leader only meeting to plan/prepare the year. Week 4 is for everyone, to hear about the main message of the bible
