Presentation transcript:

Assessed practical: Resistance of a wire Describe factors that affect resistance of a wire. Complete a practical to investigate a factor that affects resistance of a wire. Analuse data and make conclusions for an investigation.

Investigating resistance of a wire. (Home-work) How could we investigate how length affects the resistance of a wire? Write a method to investigate how resistance of a wire changes with length. Include: labelled circuit diagram, equipment list, Independent, dependent and control variables, method (step by step), and risk assessment. Draw a graph and write a conclusion of what you have found out. What affected the accuracy of your results? Consider all measurements and suggest improvements if you were to do practical again.
