CRITICAL READING: A GUIDE SYNTHESIZING Source: With thanks to J. Lye, my colleagues and Britannia Grade 12 students. Linda O'Reilly

SYNTHESIZING─ THE JOB DESCRIPTION Synthesizing information is a process of examining and inferring relationships among sources and then making these relationships explicit. WRITER’S GOAL Combine information and ideas to create or develop a new idea, focus, or perspective (i.e. to answer the proposed question). Draw conclusions to create new meaning based on sound evidence from both passages. Linda O'Reilly

Who would make the better role model, Marilyn Bell Di Lascio or Sharon Wood? In making your argument you must discuss both passages. Marilyn Bell Di Lascio Sharon Wood Linda O'Reilly
