Paper 1 Topic 1: Hazardous Earth (Global temperatures, the atmosphere and climate, Cyclones, Tectonics and Tectonic Hazards) Topic 2: Development Dynamics (Development & Population, How countries develop & Development models and India) Topic 3: Challenges of an urbanising world (Urbanisation, Economic and population changes and Mumbai) Assessed by; 1 hour 30 minute examination 94 marks in total (4 of these are SPaG) Worth 37.5% of the final grade. There are a variety of question type on this paper. You must answer every question on this paper

Paper 2 Topic 4: The UK’s evolving physical landscape - including Coastal change and conflict, and River processes and pressures. Topic 5: The UK’s evolving human landscape - including a case study of a major UK city (London). Topic 6: Geographical Investigations. This includes 2 fieldwork investigations - 1 human and 1 physical linked to topics 4 and 5. (Urban-London and Coasts-Christchurch Bay) Assessed by; 1 hour 30 minutes examination. 94 marks in total (4 of these are SPaG) Worth 37.5% of the final grade. There are a variety of question types on this paper. You must answer all questions in section A and B. In section C you only answer the questions linked to the type of fieldwork we have completed.

Topic 6: Geographical Investigations. Paper 2 - Section C Topic 6: Geographical Investigations. This includes 2 fieldwork investigations - 1 human and 1 physical linked to topics 4 and 5. (Urban-London and Coasts-Christchurch Bay) In Section C1 answer either Question 8 or Question 9(students need to answer question 8 in this section). In Section C2 answer either Question 10 or Question 11(our students need to answer question 10).

Paper 3 Topic 7: People and the biosphere. Topic 8: Forests under threat. Topic 9: Consuming Energy resources. This paper contains a Decision Making Exercise based on the three topics covered in this component. Assessed by; 1 hour 30 minutes examination. 64 marks in total (4 of these are SPaG) Worth 25% of the final grade. You must answer all questions on this paper. A resource booklet will be provided sharing the issue you will focus on for the decision making element.
