Mouth Care Matters Training For Doctors MCM is a training initiative that has already shown to improve pt care, help reduce recovery times and has contributed to saving a few lives. Mouth care in Hospital has been found to be poor and this is due to a lack of training and education and not a lack of care and compassions. Mouth care matters seeks to address this. Changing the culture So what next, We have come quite a long way but there is still work to do. We are continuously developing the project and it will soon be rolled out across 11 trusts in Kent Surrey and Sussex Mouth Care in hospital does really needs to improve! We need to change the culture in the same way as happened with hand washing! It will take time but hopefully people will start to listen! …
