Africa 2nd largest continent in the world Borders two oceans (Atlantic [to the west], and Indian [to the east]) Home to the world’s largest desert (Sahara) Home to the world’s longest river (Nile) Produces roughly 50% of the world’s diamonds Produces roughly 50% of the world’s gold Is home to roughly 10% of the world’s known oil supply Why did so many nations from other continents fight for control of land on this continent?

North America Third largest continent Borders three oceans: (Atlantic [east], Pacific [west], and Arctic [north]) Three main languages spoken: English, Spanish, French…why is that?

Europe 6th largest continent (2nd smallest) Has been the center of much of Western Civilization throughout the history of mankind Is designated as a continent (for political reasons), but it is actually a peninsula Borders the Atlantic Ocean (to the west), and the Arctic Ocean (to the north)
