Boeing 787 Electrical System Electricity is generated by the 6 generators. Electricity is converted from AC to DC if required. Electricity is distributed by the two electrical/electronics (E/E) bays and the Remote Power Distribution Units. I find it interesting how the aircraft is able to generate and distribute the electricity. This technology could possibly used in other things.
