Undergrad- A student at a university who has not yet earned their Bachelor’s Degree. Bachelor’s Degree (Undergraduate)- A degree awarded to students, usually after four years of classes at a university. You are currently working on your Associate’s Degree from ACC, a two year degree. Faculty- professors at a university. Student-Faculty ratio 20:1 means there is 20 students for every 1 professor. Last Class: Public University- A university that is funded by the government, generally less expensive than a private university. Cheaper for residents of the state where the college is located. Examples include University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University in San Marcos, and Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Private University- A university that is privately-funded. Tuition for a private university is the same for all students, no matter their state of residence.
